About the Role

We are hiring a Legal Trainee/Executive with 6 months to 1 year of experience in labour law research and business licensing. The role involves conducting statutory research, tracking state-specific compliance requirements, supporting licensing assignments, and contributing to legal documentation and advisory work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed research on Central and State-specific labour laws, along with Legal Metrology and packaged commodities regulations applicable to labelling, declarations, and compliance requirements.
  • Attend labour law matters, hearings, inspections, and liaise with relevant authorities.
  • Prepare compliance checklists, legal notes, SOPs, and internal advisory documents.
  • Assist in contract management and review.
  • Track amendments, government notifications, and judicial updates related to applicable labour and licensing laws.
  • Support legal due diligence and regulatory audits for client assignments.
  • Maintain internal trackers, legal knowledge databases, and regulatory repositories.
  • Collaborate with legal, client servicing, and compliance execution teams for effective project delivery.

Requirements

  • LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized university.
  • 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience in a legal/compliance firm or labour law consultancy.
  • Strong understanding of Indian labour laws, licensing frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with Legal Metrology and packaged commodities compliance will be an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with legal research platforms such as Manupatra, SCC Online, or Labour Law Reporter.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel for legal documentation and tracker management.
  • Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills
